World Youth Skills Day: Unlocking Potential, Connecting Opportunity

Every year, World Youth Skills Day (July 15th) reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: young people are full of talent, potential, and ambition. However, too often their skills, achievements, and experiences remain invisible to employers, educators, and opportunity providers.

Developing and tracking youth skills has never been more important. As the UK faces rapid technological change, evolving labour market demands, and skills shortages across key sectors, we need better ways to recognise the capabilities of young people and help them transition successfully into education, employment, and training.
