At a glance: Fife Council and globalbridge have signed a three-year partnership (announced 6th October 2026) making globalbridge available to all 18 Fife secondary schools. It follows an 18-month pilot with eight schools and supports the pilot Fife Diploma of Achievement, giving every learner a digital record of their skills, experiences and wider achievements.

We are delighted to announce a landmark three-year partnership between Fife Council and globalbridge, making the globalbridge platform available to all of Fife’s secondary schools.

What is the Fife Diploma of Achievement?

The partnership follows an extensive 18-month pilot involving eight secondary schools and close collaboration with students, teachers, school leaders and wider council staff. At the heart of the partnership is Fife’s pioneering pilot Diploma of Achievement, helping young people recognise, record and showcase their skills, experiences and achievements alongside their qualifications.

How does globalbridge support it?

Through globalbridge, participating schools will be able to support learners to capture and evidence their wider skills, talents, experiences and achievements, building a multimedia digital record of achievement.

Donald Macleod, Executive Director of Education at Fife Council, said:

"Fife Council is pleased to be partnering with globalbridge to progress our plans for the Fife Diploma of Achievement. The pilot Diploma captures achievements in one place, giving a clearer picture of strengths, interests and future options, and better prepares our young people for their next steps in work, education or training. This will help ensure our young people continue to have their skills and achievements recognised, captured and celebrated in a way that strengthens their pathway to a positive destination post school".

Ben Mason, Founder and CEO of globalbridge, added:

"This is a landmark partnership for globalbridge, but more importantly it represents a shared belief in what education should recognise and celebrate. Exam results will always matter, but they can never tell the whole story of a young person. Having worked alongside schools in Fife for the past 18 months, we are incredibly proud to continue supporting schools across Fife through access to globalbridge, helping young people develop a digital record of achievement that enables them to understand their strengths, evidence what they can do, and take that evidence with them into their future".

The partnership provides a strong foundation for schools that wish to use the platform to support learner profiling, skills recognition, wider achievement and the ongoing development of the Fife Diploma of Achievement.
